The Asian Men’s
Basketball Championship is a basketball tournament
in Asia that has gained a strong following here.
This year’s games will held for 9 days from
July 20 to 28 and LG Electronics has the exclusive
rights for the usage of the name (LG Asian Men’s
Basketball Championship), helping to spotlight the
LG brand in China and other parts of Asia. The sponsorship
to this year’s games follows its successful
sponsorship of the 1999 ABC Men’s All Star
Games and 2000 ABC 5-Country Games.
Continuing sponsorship of same sport gives LG Electronics
consistency in its marketing efforts and opportunity
to maximize the resulting synergy.
