French National Football Team
 
LG Electronics is currently spending approximately US$7 million a year for marketing activities linked to football around the world. In France, before its national team won the Euro 2000 after sweeping to victory at World Cup 1998, LG Electronics signed a 3-year sponsorship agreement with the team. Now on the national team’s uniforms, LG Electronics’s logo is vividly emblazed along with that of Adidas, Carnal Plus and Carrefour.

Through matches with European national teams, LG Electronics is receiving exposure to French speaking European markets like Belgium and Switzerland as well as 14 French speaking African countries. By sponsoring French team, the winner of 1998 World Cup, LG is securing favorable impression from European and world consumers
