Russian Soccer Team
 
LG Electronics sponsors Russia’s Soccer Team for one year from January 2002.

LG Electronics is anticipated to enhance its brand awareness and sales performance in Russia through its sponsorship program of the nation’s soccer team in the midst of soccer fever building up to the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Korea-Japan.


As an official sponsor of Russia’s soccer team, LG Electronics holds the rights to use the team’s emblem, character, etc. for the purpose of advertisement, public relations, and sales promotion activities of LG Electronics. In addition, the LG ELECTRONICS is entitled to develop and grant a special award as an official sponsor when the team has a match. Furthermore, LG Electronics has preferential rights to participate in various promotion activities in linkage with soccer matches of the team.

Russia’s soccer team, currently ranked 21st in the FIFA Ranking, has qualified for the final competition after winning matches with top performance in Group 1 at the 2002 World Cup’s Preliminary Competition in Europe. It is upbeat as it has been assigned to Group H as is the case of Japan for the 2002 World Cup Finals.
